There is also an interesting change in this Notice. Previously, HMT would quote an EU Regulation. Now, they reference the United Nations and European Union Financial Sanctions (Linking) Regulation 2017, and provide the UN’s press release for the changes. Now, is that just to be efficient and to get the listing out quicker – or is it laying the groundwork for Brexit? Inquiring minds want to know.
