On Wednesday, OFAC issued its annual report on blocked terrorist assets, officially named the 2013 Annual Report on Assets in the United States of Terrorist Countries and International Terrorism Program Designees. The report notes that there are $2.3 billion in blocked assets, as well as $32 million in unblocked Syrian and Iranian assets. The amount of blocked assets related to SDT, SDGT, and FTO designations increased about $300,000 in 2013, while those related to state sponsors of terrorism increased about $23.5 million.
Lots of tables, as well as a list of sources and a copy of the portion of Federal regulations related to the requirement for the annual report. Good section listing out all the relevant Executive Orders and federal laws, too.
Good bedtime reading.
